Michael Gulizio, DMD, MS
Dr. Michael Gulizio has built a reputation based on uncompromising clinical excellence, meticulous attention to detail and a professional, calm and friendly demeanor. He devotes a significant portion of his time each year attending seminars and training courses, focusing on implant dentistry and esthetic (cosmetic) dentistry, and has an established curriculum vitae. He lectures throughout the United States to other dentists and specialists on Dental Esthetics and Implant Dentistry.EDUCATION
Dr. Gulizio graduated magna cum laude and received his B.S. in Microbiology & Cell Science at the University of Florida in 1996. He pursued his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated summa cum laude in 2000. He was one of two individuals within his dental class to complete a Master's Degree in Education at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, focusing on Professional Leadership.
SPECIALTY TRAINING
After obtaining a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, Dr. Gulizio pursued Prosthodontic specialty training at the University of Connecticut. There, he completed a rigorous residency program with strong emphasis on implant reconstruction, esthetic dentistry, and removable prosthodontics (dentures & partial dentures). He also obtained a Master's Degree in Dental Sciences, focusing on Implant-retained Overdentures and was given the John J. Sharry award for his master's thesis research project. The associated manuscript was published in the Journal of Prosthodontics in March 2005 and is a widely referenced article both nationally and internationally. In 2006, his publication was among the top researched dental articles in the dental implant literature.
